200 grams fresh turmeric root, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup yogurt (curd)

2-3 green chilies, slit
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste

Peel and thinly slice the fresh turmeric root. Wear gloves while handling turmeric to avoid staining your hands.
